SWF with a propreitory framework java, framework, understand, experience

I downloaded SWF 1.05 yesterday and played around with couple of sample apps that it ships with only to find out today that 2.0 M1 is the latest. i got that as well. At the place where I work, they have a propreitory quot;XSL over XMLquot; java framework. What I understand from my one-day SWF experience is that somehow you guys need to be in control
of the navigation sub system and then you will take care of the rest ?
We dont use JSPs here - its a java framework though. Can you guys point me in the right direction? which part of SWF integration points should I be looking at to get SWF in. Does SWF depend on all of Spring? - I mean I just need a minimal set of jars from SWF - I don't want Spring-mvc for example or jsp tags etc - we don't use JSPs at all. Does it matter that we are not a JSp shop. For eg I don't know where
SWF stores the _flowExecutionKey and _eventId values as such. But I guess it should be some in context from where it needs to be
picked up and pass it onto our template engine and submit it back later.
May there are dumb questions. But thanks for hearing out.
