AJAX and Spring MVC only, difference, features, between

Hi,
I'm converting my application to Web Flow 2.0 and I want to make use of the AJAX integration features of 2.0. My application uses Spring MVC and in all the sample apps it's really only showing how to integrate AJAX with Spring Faces. Is there much of a difference between how Spring Faces handles AJAX and how Spring MVC would potentially handle AJAX.
