Protecting included JSP jsp, currently, something, included

Newbie question.
I'm currently trying to protect jsp fragments included in an unprotected outer JSP (jsp:include). Is there a way to do that?
I read something about protected jsp:forward, but it doesn't seem to work in my case.

Any advice welcome.
