Hi,

seems that elastic search will be the successor of compass and therefore the searchable plugin will somehow have a dead end. Instead there is a first attempt which elastic search as a grails plugin.

Has anybody already some experience / opinion on that?

I want to add search functionality to my app and I wonder if I should better rely on quot;good-and-provedquot; or better the newer elastic search with still bugs and quirks but more future?

Any comment is appreciated

It depends on your needs. If you Searchable works for you, I would consider using it. Just be aware of its limitations, such as some bugs related to cascading and it's lack of scalability.
